I’ve been happily out of town this weekend as you may have realized from my Instagram stories. M and I had a sort of mini vacation in Frankfurt am Main. It is about time I reveal we will be changing city and state here in Germany. I’ve been calling Bavaria home and it is, as a matter of fact, the only place we’ve been living in Germany, M has relocated already in Hessen and I am about to join him soon enough. We are venturing into unsailed waters at the moment, it’s scary and same time exciting for us both.
The aim has been to feel the vibes of the city and the nearby towns. We’ve heard so many stories about Frankfurt while driving there we set the expectations at low; I am in the happy position to admit I’ve been positively surprised. Frankfurt felt cosmopolitan, vibrant, very international and ALIVE! The river bank was crowded, we spotted several street bands playing great music and people seemed relaxed. Wonderful weather does that to people- I am going to make a stop here as I haven’t formed a well-rounded opinion yet instead, I’ll let the picture speak for the city itself.
We couldn’t have wished for better weather, we walked for hours in shadows and sunlight and the newest member of my dress collection the AICHA dress from Baum und Pferdgarten, kept me oh so warm. Due to the long sleeves and color, I can easily imagine myself wearing it spring and early autumn. I love this dress to pieces, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact itself as I’ve never worn such length and cut before. I am considering to add a belt to it occasionally. What do you think?
Have you noticed how women are staring at my shoes? I asked M at some point. They’ve been wondering why you stepped outdoors with your house slippers, he replied. House slippers or not, I love my comfortable carpet mules.
