• 5 Reasons Why You Always Need to Look Good

A talk with a dear friend the other day inspired this post. Apparently, a pair of shoes caught her fancy, shamelessly she doesn’t believe in investing in the particular pair because of ‘where I am going to wear them?’ her words. I am a passionate advocator of making an effort to always look good, certainly, I have pressed my opinion on the blog before, but today I need to elucidate my five reasons why I always think you should look good, vanity aside.

    1. Makes lots of fun! There are very few people I know who get allergic with the prospect of painting nails or utilizing a heating iron to tame their mane. The majority of us enjoy dressing up but for some reason, we avoid taking this extra 5 minutes in the morning to make us feel happy. Can it be laziness?

    2. Helps your professional life. I was getting ready for work the other day, struggling with my winged eyeliner while M. was joking why don’t I take the extra minutes to sleep, anyhow my daily companions my mice don’t care much about my winged eyeliner! The audacity of my love knows no borders! Starting my day on the right foot shifts me immediately into a good mood, boosts my confidence and improves my performance at work. Experimented and confirmed dear friends.

    3. Looking put together improves your social life; It may sound silly but if I feel myself chances are I might start a conversation with a stranger. The other day I needed a particular cosmetic at MΓΌller, my usual self would spend hours reading all descriptions, avoiding talking to the professionals. Not that particular day; I met the nicest girl in the shop, she explained in details all the choices and differences, on top, I was gifted Clarins sample products.

    4. Adopting a signature look helps to express your individuality and uniqueness.

    5. Life is too short to be lived in sloppiness. I believe every day, must be celebrated and such should be our attire. Goodness, I would hate growing up with regrets, especially regarding my garment choices. Side note to all you out there who need an excuse to wear something special, I say create one.

P.S The particular outfit was flaunted on a coffee date with my love.

That’s a beautiful floral dress, I like the unexpected purple heels with it! πŸ™‚

While I don’t have the energy to dress up every day I do think you feel better when you have put a little effort into what you’re wearing – I certainly do anyway! πŸ™‚

Hope you have had a lovely weekend πŸ™‚

I do very little makeup each single day but even the smallest effort makes me feel so much better. Thanks so much for passing by sweets!

Hello, Tatjana! I’m back from a FAB week, and now quite exhausted from walking and climbing in the high mountains. But I did it! I really did it! Oh, Wow!
I’m loving your post. Will read again. But I can agree with your words. And your dress, T. Oh my goodness. How I love your dress. Soooo pretty, and swishy, and floaty. Look out for more from me later.
      Love, Jo x

My dear T. There is much to tell; but not here. Once I get used to being at sea level again, I will attempt an email with a few photos attached. Though not up to the standard of M.
Oh, Tatjana. That dress is a dream, and that style suits you so well. It must be lovely to wear. Perhaps you should wear it in a future video to capture its fluid movement. xxx

After having two kids I have fallen into the frumpy mom look more times than not. I know I should do better, but this post has given me several reasons. Thank you for sharing! Even if I am staying at home or going to the grocery store, I will put on my makeup and avoid the sweat pants. Lol

Hi T! I can’t agree more, hahah. Whenever I go out without dressing up, I am literally avoiding social interactions with the world πŸ˜› I can’t agree more. According to Psychology research, people who make an effort to dress up and look nice also appear to look more sociable, so I can help back up #3. All the points are extremely valid too!

By the way, I am loving your outfits and photos! followed xx
