Today’s entry marks the first post created from scratch in my new city, Frankfurt am Main. My eagerness to step outdoors knows no bounds, often Max would tell me to close my mouth as I observe architechture, people, and behavior with the curiosity of a small child. Feeling as a tourist is unavoidable, goodness each time I compile an outfit together, parameters such as versatility and comfort have to be taken into account. That’s exciting in fact I am the happiest I have been, Frankfurt has been exceeding our expectations.
Traveling in style is a life philosophy; I have never been a t-shirt and shorts type of girl or sneakers for that matter. Over the years I have compiled together a few rules through the test-try-learn approach regarding what makes me feel myself at a new environment. As silly as it may sound not having to compromise my personal style, a side of my personality makes me the happiest.
I love handbags and often I find myself having to compromise function over fashion. I travel a lot, commute on a bicycle and often carry way to many items in my handbags. My handbags although receive lots of love, have to withstand my intense lifestyle. The newest handbag in my collection, the Cambridge Satchel Company cloud backpack is made to be loved and lived in. I have found the perfect bag as I can easily adjust it according to the situation, on my travels I wear it either as a backpack which frees my hands, cross body for shopping or top handle for official occasions. The bag comes in five different colors navy, chalk, crimson, mustard, putty the color I have chosen.
On my trips, my dresses have to always have a midi dress length. I have to say it, in danger of being ridiculed; I entertain an aversion towards public transportation sitting facilities. In my summer travels you will always see me in a midi dress, palazzo or capri pants and avoid skirt contact at any cost.

In terms of shoes, I normally pack about three pairs of shoes, flat sandals for walking, evening shoes preferably nude and house shoes in case the hotel of choice doesn’t offer any. Scarfs in different colors will be always with me either as a handbag accessory seen (here), or to tie back my hair and (here). A cardigan or two, I always pack with me to throw around my shoulders when the temperature drops but we still want to enjoy a late evening outdoors.
