It’s safe to say corduroy is making a strong comeback and I could not be happier about it. What’s not to love about this warm, luxurious material, so-called jean’s cousin?! From Marc Jacobs to Mulberry and Nina Ricci runaway shows this neglected material is going to revolutionalize our approach to the casual outfit and make up all look junior professors of geography at Cambridge University. There is no wrong way to way corduroy only one small tip on my behalf-avoid matching two-piece, instead opt for different texture garments.
I swear whenever I wear this pants I get asked where I’ve bought them, last seen (here). I was extremely lucky to have found them on a vintage store in Budapest; my advice to you is head over to vintage stores or look no further than your mom’s wardrobe. However, I have included my favorite pieces I’ve found online because I am awake many people cannot stand to wear second-hand garments.
I am wearing Mango pullover (here)
Topshop shoes (here)
The Cambridge Satchel bag (here)
I’ve found so many corduroy trousers in rich colors online like these ones from MaxMara in pink (here), Benneton has this amazing pair in dark green, very affordable (here), love these (here) from M.i.h jeans as well. These two dungarees from The Ragged Priest (here) and Levi’s (here) are perfect for a casual brunch or running errands outfit, add a warm pullover underneath, sneakers and you are good to go.
Delightfully, there s a broad selection of skirts, and blazers as well, like two from GAP (here) and (here), and this cute dress from Mango (here). A corduroy blazer is next on my shopping wish list, loving this one from Mango (here), this one from 8 pm in brown (here), Golden Goose Deluxe Brand (here).
I would love to know if you have any corduroy piece in your wardrobe and how you wear yours.
