• Wardrobe Winter Staple: Cardigans

I have a love, love relation with cardigans. Wearing a cardigan under my coat saves me from freezing out, on the days when I am running errands in the city or when we head outdoors for photo shootings. In a way I have an OCD relation to my cardigans; I own a soft woolen piece since ages which I wear each morning once my bare feet touch the floor. One for cooking and house chores, of course. There’s one for working time and certain cardigans I wear on bare skin, the softer kind! Cardigans which I wear with dresses, certain length coats and I do hope you are still with me and don’t find a bit too crazy!

Selected Femme, a Danish brand, has become my favorite brand for high-quality affordable knits, I have this one (here) and (here) on the longer side which I wear over a shirt, under my coat. This piece from New Look (here) and GAP (here) are next on my never-ending wish list.

Karen Millen has some absolutely gorgeous short cardigans to wear over an evening dress or simple on their own with jeans or skirts for casual looks. Loving this pink pearl embellished piece (here), this black pearl embellished cardigan with adorable white stripes on the sleeves (here), and last this white one with lace details on the sleeves as well, find (here).

On Asos, I found some pieces which actually make the look, such as this oversize rainbow Lazy Oaf cardigan (here) and Asos the, brand (here). This Lost Ink piece with abstract design and gigantic sequins has stolen my heart (here), throw it over jeans and turtleneck if you live in cold climate but if you are blessed with warm weather then a basic t-shirt will do for you. Couldn’t resist adding this bold choice from Asos Petite (here).

Hope you enjoyed this post my lovelies! Do let me know if you decide to pick any of my suggestions and of course, don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE.

Not crazy at all, T. I too have cardigans for different times of day, or for what I am doing. I love the first pink cardi and the pretty Morgan maxi dress worn with it.
