A warm Sunday afternoon Max and I drove to a nearby neighborhood of Frankfurt called Höchst. That has been the third time visiting Höchst because our dentist’s office is located on a narrow little street of this part of Frankfurt. As we were trying to find a parking place I spotted these beautiful row of buildings (in the picture above), took a couple of pictures for future reference and saved them on my computer. Two Sundays ago I convinced Max to drive there and have a look around. Apparently, Höchst is one of the oldest parts of Frankfurt, especially the beauty of the historic old town took us by surprise!
I kept saying to Max that I had the feeling I was in a Mediterranean city, perhaps due to the warm weather. The streets were empty as if all inhabitants were having siesta. A walk further inside the city showed us otherwise. The town was all gathered in what seemed to be the main square.
The found pretty front doors and gardens in full bloom. Definitely coming back in Höchst for rose season. I really appreciate and love when people take care of their balconies and gardens. Something that I have trying to improve at our current apartment as well. Gardening and in general taking care of plans have such a positive impact on one’s psychology.
We were and are blessed with beautiful weather here in Frankfurt the past two weeks. I wore a dress bare legged for the first time in 2018 and it is such an amazing feeling to be able to wear my summer dresses again. This flower, mustard yellow piece (under 70€) is a new addition in my wardrobe and I absolutely love it, such a fun color to add to your wardrobe! It is from a brand I called Louche London, that I discovered through Instagram, definitely going to buy some more of their pieces in the future. The quality is amazing, in fact, I brought one of their cardigans as well, to wear it with the dress but the temperatures have been so warm that I didn’t get the chance to wear it.

On our way back home we found these adorable houses where it seems like time has slowed down. People had taken chairs outdoors and were talking happily chatting with each other. See, I turned to Max, this definitely0 reminds of a Mediterranian city!
