• How to Style a Knitted Matching Set

how to style a knitted matching set

Only a few months ago I have noticed this new trend, the matching knitted sets. I couldn’t skip this one as I love knitted clothes and of course staying warm. I was hesitating at first as the clothes remind of all the 80s outfits I used to admire my cousins wearing. At first, I bought the jumper from Selected Femme as seen (here) and a few weeks later I order the pencil skirt (here) and (here). Indeed this matching set brought so many memories from the past, my cousins would knit their own jumpers, dresses, and skirts and I would learn how to knit together with them.

I found out that adding a pair of nude pumps to this look, it instantly brings out all the vintage feels, which I love. However, wearing them with mules (if the weather permits) or knee-high boots like these here from Sezane (here) will make for modern looks.

Perhaps I am catching up quite late on this trend as I have found so many clothes of various price points, starting with this leo skirt (here) and jumper (here) from Asos. This rusty red skirt (here) and jumper (here). Asos has a Cyber Monday sale at the moment, you can get 20% off everything with the code Hello20.  In addition to skirts, I have found quite some pieces in knitted trousers matched with jumpers. However, only this set from Mara Hoffman in pants (here) and jumper (here) captured my attention and I could definitely see myself wearing.

I love your knitted look, T. My Belgian side of the family all knit. Every birthday, my Mother would knit me the same blue sweater, but a size larger. Even now I love knitted tops.

Oh Jo that is just so sweet! Do you still have any of the sweaters your mom made for you?
