Preliminary rain droplets hit me in the face once I step out of the front porch. I should get angry because all my efforts to tame my unruly, hair have been ruined. The fact is, I love rain!
We humans have inherited an affection for rain, as a genetic memory from our ancestors, who basically relied on rainy weather for their survival.
The first rain, after hot and drought summers in the South of Albania, is much treasured, since the inhabitants make a living mostly out of agriculture. As a kid, my mom mercifully would let me prolong my happy time in the garden without constant threats of pneumonia. How I loved the dusty, humid essence of the first rain. I remember late summer storms in Albania being very aggressive and sweetly short. One of the few things I miss from Home.
I’m obsessed with the bell-shaped tops lately. Can’t wait to wear this more often, once the weather warms up in Germany (here). My shirt is from Hallhuber (here), I love shirts, just as much as I hate ironing them. My jeans are from Maje (here) and the boots from H by Hudson (here). My bag is handmade, bought in Krakow.
Have a lovely week sweets!
