Chapter 6

It humbles me to realise how simple, inexpensive, effortless things or activities make people happy sometimes. May that be a bouquet of flowers, a box of chai tea or a walk in the neighborhood on a lazy Sunday.

The previous weekend M. and I had been having a customary, indoors lazy day when we decided to break the rules by venturing outdoors. On the way, we discovered an arrogant cat, a ghost city (typical for small towns in Germany on a Sunday) and a beautiful WW1 cemetery.

My outfit on that day was perfectly matching my mood. Long walks in cold weather are not really my forte. To avoid any cowardly detour, M. always coerces me to dress warm and comfortable.
