Downpour and flashbacks

I must admit the favourite part of blogging for me is when M. is handing over the photos and I can sit down and write. For instance, I feel so grateful at the moment because today’s downpour stimulated long-forgotten childhood memories.

Often in the South of Albania, it rains repeatedly for days and thanks to the overprotective nature of my mother (and every South European mother out there) I was never allowed to step outside while raining. Except our verandah (if that makes any sense!). Customarily the power would go off during these days and with the lack of television entertainment, I would sit on our verandah and stare that the rain and regularly beg, my unbaffled mother, to let me visit grandmama.

You must know by now, I love rain but this Sunday it had been raining all day long. Where is all this water coming from?! We wanted to go on a date but instead  half way, we had had to return home, take a hot shower and warm up with a hot cup of tea.

My dress is from Asos Petite (here), sandals from L’autre Chose sandals old, love these ones (here) and bag from Asos, similar (here).

Have a lovely week, darlings. For daily posts follow us on Instagram.

Cheers,
