My darlings I’ve mentioned before how much I enjoy creating different makeup looks, especially on the weekends. A new category starts today on the blog around all sorts of beauty related topics. Honestly during working days I rarely go with much makeup as I enjoy sleeping longer too much. To second this, I carry special orders from my mum to never exit the house without making an effort.
Every morning on a weekday I spend about 7 minutes for these simple steps:
- Moisturise face, neck and eye area
- Apply a thin layer of powder, lately I’ve been skipping entirely makeup
- Conceal my dark cycles
- Mascara
- Blush my cheers and highlight my cheekbones
- Lipgloss
- Spray glow mist

I ordered my Bourjois blush (here, here) from Asos a few months ago and I became ecstatic when I realised this the first makeup item I ever owned. I bought it 12 years ago after the first year of my studies, spoiling myself after a working the whole summer as a dishwasher in Corfu island (Greece). This blush restored many bitter-sweet memories. Do you recall what was the first makeup item you ever bought?
I only own one highlighter from Nars and I highly suggest it to those of you who are into portrait photography. This beauty it does wonders with the light. Find Nars Highlighter (here, here) and makeup brush from Real Techniques (here). I plan to spoil myself with the Urban Decay Flushed palette (here) some time soon. Does anyone has experience with it? Please let me know on the comments below.

I’ve read recently that a statistically a woman eats in a lifetime about 3,5 kg lipstick. Shocking isn’t it?! I’ve been testing a lot more natural cosmetics lately and I love the certified natural cosmetic German brand Lavera (here).
My Pixi by Petra glow mist (here, here) has been my faithful spray for the whole summer and it provides a sort of dewy and radiant texture on the skin. During autumn I’ve been using is as a moisturizer, it smells simply amazing.
How is this week treating you so far? I’ve been feeling cold and hungry as autumn cold stricked brutally early here in Bavaria.

Thanks so much Tosom!
Good morning my Dear. Wow, what a beautiful picture of you.
As for beauty, my good looks left me shortly after the age of one, and there are times I wish I could have a makeover. Instead, I have to rely on wearing a good moisturiser and a few dabs of my favourite Dior or Chanal. Pixi glow sounds wonderful. Anyway, this post makes a lovely read.
Autumn is taking its time to make a showing, but there is a chill in the morning air.
Kisses, Jo

I’m sure you’re being modest Jo! Have a great day:) Hugs
Oh, the first thing I bought with my first week’s wages was a bottle of Chanal No5 (for my Mum).
When I was six, I tipped my Mother’s favorite No5 over my head. I thought I smelled lovely. But she made me go to school. It took years to live that down. Hugs.

Thanks so much for passing by Shai! I love Nars 🙂
The first make up item I ever bought was a black eye liner and it came out of my pocket money from my parents when I was a teenager. I love your routine, moisturising always works.

Yes, Tatjana. We should listen and learn from our mothers. Tooo many people, these days, do not make even the simplest of effort.
I do not know how you do your eyes (do I detect a hint of gold), but they look lovely. I’m sure they look lovely, even with circles.
Hugs, Jo
Absolutely love that Pixi by Petra product! I use it too!

Your makeup looks so beautiful, especially the eyes! I second that getting extra sleep in the morning is always a good thing haha, simplifying a routine as you’ve done for a pretty, natural look works perfectly 🙂

Thanks so much Gabrielle! Hope you’re having a good day 🙂
With your type of beauty everything looks amazingly beautiful 🙂 but thank you for sharing this, I am wondering about the mist – think it is time to try it out 🙂

What a wonderful look! I love your simple and well-rounded way of getting ready. It sounds similar to what I like doing as well. My biggest focus is always keeping my skin healthy- so I like to skip foundation on most days (basically, I’m too lazy to blend LOL).
I really have to try out that glow spray! I’ve been hearing good things about it.
