• Heart to Heart

blogWhat is time? How can we measure it? We divide it by seconds, minutes, hours and so on until we hit years. Each individual measures time through living. Life is really a word which describes the meaning of our presence in this world. In truth, it is really narrowed down to one thing: How to live your life?

It is the question everyone needs to ask themselves. It is not only a matter of doing or simply existing. Sometimes it is just how to survive or how to keep your family together. People experience different situations, different circumstances which bring them to certain decisions, bad or good no one knows. No one can judge the other one, but one thing is completely clear.

You cannot live your life pretending or living your life for someone else, even your kids or your family. You have to always keep something for yourself. You have to be…in a way selfish I suppose. It breaks your heart to see and talk to people who realized their life was not really what they wanted and expected. The process of realization hurts the most-they say.

Do not waste your talent, do not waste your life. If you grow then your family and friends will grow too.

All the greats had a few words to say on the subject of time.
e.g. Auden wrote: ‘O let not time deceive you. You cannot conquer
      Time.’
I agree. We cannot live our lives for others. Likewise, we cannot give all of our heart to someone. Because, when it gets broken, we have nothing left to make a new one.
That’s from the voice of experience.
Have a lovely week, you two.

Your life is just that, YOUR life. Yet, it’s hard to remeber that you most live for you and let everyone else live for themselves. A wonderful reminder!
      All the best,

Such an inspiring post and wise words my dear Tatjana! It’s not selfish at all, in order to be able to love and take care of everyone else, we first need to love and take care of ourselves. I would say that it is necessary and vital. And you are so right, I also know a few people whose life is not what they wanted and it is heartbreaking.
Thanks for sharing my dear Tatjana!

I do know quite a few of these people too! I feel powerless every time we talk. How devastating it must be to feel your life slipping through your fingers and it is to late to change:(
