Happy new week my darlings!
I hope you all enjoyed a nice weekend. We’ve finally felt the winter frosts this Sunday and Chrismas markets make more sense, I’ve even had my first cup of Glühwein (mulled wine). I think I am getting a little bit into celebration spirit, foremost we’re decided with M to get a real Chrismas tree this year. It might come to you as a shocked but I never in my nearly 30 years of life had an actual pine Chrismas tree.
Well, one of the reasons is that my birthplace in Albania, has an above sea level 32m (104ft), pine trees do not grow at our place and we always had an artificial tree. Another reason is that as a student I did not care much to have one but this year, being freshly married and all that, we are getting a real Chrismas tree. A question for you; when does one start to decorate?
The highlight of my weekend apart from the Glühwein was going to the cinema. We watched the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, exquisite movie, the most entertaining I’ve watched in 2016. If you are wondering if I really visited the movie theater dressed like this. Don’t judge! I have so little evening entertainment lately, that I tend to over do it.

Hi T, it’s always better if you are over dressed than under 😉 That jacket is outstanding, in my fave print: houndstooth.
We tend to start decorating for Christmas after Mother’s day here which is the first week of December.

I remember you mentioning in a recent blog that you had had your hair cut, but I couldn’t see the style.
These photos show it much better, and this shorter length looks lovely
on you.

HAPPY TUESDAY, dear Tatjana!
Yes. I would think the 2nd week of December would be fine. If the tree has roots, you could soak them in water overnight be for putting it in place. But it’s not essential. If you have somewhere to keep it outside until you begin decorating, that would be good, Again it’s not essential.
My cake is 20cm dia, 7cm deep, packed with mixed fruit. Has white icing with white icing stars on the top.. It’s looks lovely. And will share it
with friends.
Oh! I live 8km west of Worthing. A place called East Preston, 1km from the beach.
Tuesday xxx, Jo

Living in Germany doesn´t give me a chance to wear something special every day so I also tend to overdress while going to the movies or even doing shopping. By the way, I really like your outfit!

What an amazing look my dear Tatjana! The coat, the pumps, the pinko bag, everything is so beautiful and perfectly combined! And I wouldn’t judge at all, it is perfect for an evening out even for the cinema! Besides we should dress the way we feel right? You look absolutely gorgeous and the makeup couldn’t be more perfect! To answer your question, we have already decorated our tree and home haha! We usually do it one month before Christmas so we can have a long time enjoying the festive mood. It passes so quickly! Amazing look and photography, congrats to both of you!
Wishing you a lovely start to the week!

You look so lovely! And I’m the same way — I don’t “go out” much, so when I do, I usually over dress, but I don’t care. I like it 🙂 It makes the outing feel more special.

How I would love a real Christmas tree. We’ve always had small artificial trees and this year we are planning to buy an actual tree. You looked lovely.

How lovely to hear you’re getting a real Christmas tree this year – I can guarantee you’ll become addicted to the festive smell of pine,! 🙂 I really love this printed coat on you by the way, especially combined with the beautiful, classic black bag. Also, thanks so much for suggesting meeting up at the Christmas markets this week, however sadly I won’t be finding myself in Nuremberg as I’m visiting Cologne. Such a shame as I would’ve loved to meet up with you – hopefully next year we’ll find ourself in the same place at some point?! 🙂

A pity indeed Gabrielle! Maybe we manage next year then! Have fun in Cologne and do overdo it with Glühwein and Lebkuchen:)

Happy Monday greeting to you.
First: Your outfit for the cinema looks perfect. And such a lovely coat.
Here. Some have their Christmas trees on show from Dec.1st. However, with a real tree you do not want the pine needles dropping too soon. I have a large imitation tree, that takes ages to decorate; even longer to take to pieces afterwards.
I had a lovely weekend away. I won an iced Christmas cake by guessing its weight. I was 1 ounce out!
Monday kisses, Jo

Happy Tuesday Jo! What kind of cake was it? I’ve meant to ask you where are you exactly living in UK?
Your tree sounds amazing, so would you suggest I start on the second week of December then?
